Blog Post Week 7

Hello, everyone, I hope that all of you are ready for the Fourth of July this year. I know that I am. I know it is a couple days away. It is my favorite holiday of the year plus I am getting a few days off from work, school, and the internship. I will be with my father and his girlfriend for the weekend. Also, there is this assignment for one of my classes that I have to interview someone who was living in the 1960s who lived near Cape Canaveral. I know that I am going off topic from the internship, but the Ponce Inlet Historical Museum is about sixty miles away from the Kennedy Space Station. My father’s girlfriend lived near the Cape Canaveral. Her father was an Air Force pilot who flow around the launches. I will get to know a little more about her and her father.

I know that was a little off topic but where I am interning it is just down the road a little ways away and I am excited about learning more about Florida History and the Space program from a pilots point of view. There are more people who are coming to the museum mostly from the restaurant. There are also more people who are coming to this museum that think it is the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse. Those people I tell them it is just down the road not too far away. I still give them a tour and they are on their way.

Everything else is going well and I am working hard. There are days that I do not get any people in the museum. Like last Saturday and others, days are similar, but I work on other things when there are hardly any people. On those days I work on other stuff that needs to get done. Most of the stuff I told you guys about like the road for the historical registrar. Transcribing the locals so it will be digitized for public use. Also, finding out those few bottles that people found on the site of the museum. I have been working by myself usually because of how small the museum is. I open and close this museum when I am here Thursday’s through Saturday’s. Usually, on those days I am working by myself because my boss has other things to do. She is out of her office all of this week, but I can still contact her if there is trouble. So far there is no trouble. If there is trouble I can contact her like I said or contact another Amy who works in Public Works if there is anything going wrong.

I hope that all of you guys are doing well. I will talk to all of you guys next week and have a happy Fourth of July.
